As men and women age, there are many hormonal changes that occur.

Testosterone production for men begins to dip, and menopause for women results in a great decrease in estrogen and progesterone in the body. These hormonal shifts contribute to many of the effects that we normally associate with the process of aging. Replacing these hormones in safe, effective doses can contribute to decreasing these symptoms and greatly improve the quality of life for both men and women.

Some commercial formulations are available for treating hormone deficiencies, but many of these hormones are synthetic, and not utilized by the body as fully as hormones derived from more natural sources, which are often called bio-identical hormones.

There are many different routes these can be taken, including orally, topically, sublingually, and vaginally. The standard hormones themselves can be replaced, as well as many of the parent hormones that the body can metabolize into the hormones, preserving natural biological pathways within the body.

Do I need a Prescription?

Medications are compounded and dispensed to patients only upon receipt of a valid patient-specific prescription.
Compounding is a relationship between the patient, physician, and pharmacist. Together, they will work together to provide an alternative treatment option when and if the current available treatment options are not the best fit for you.
